Philippians 4: 13b-14.
Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
(: I shall not do the usual reflections of the year or past years in Cedar. They shall be kept in my memory! Yes, moving on...

Much love,

Dear Lord, thank you for being with me throughout this period of examinamtion. Thank you for sustaining my health and keeping my stress level low. Lord, whatever the result, I said that I will rejoice and be glad in it. Help me to walk the talk and reall give thanks regardless the result. Lord, you've done so much for me, yet I've done the minimum... things I know I should do, I didn't. Sorry, I got greedy. Greedy for time. During the vacation break, Lord, I want to start things afresh. Leaving the hurtful, heartbreaking memories behind. Lord, help me to find back my purpose for living. Help me to live, once again, a life holy and righteous. I've changed so much through these years that many times, I long for the old me. The friends I made, which I thought could be my lifelong friends were merely a figment of my imagination. Friends come, friends go... Your love remains and that's more than enough. I want to look at the positive side, to see and appreciate everything that I have. I want to see the things and people who were invisible. Help me to let go... Take control. Amen.

Here're some people I've got to really thank.
God
My parents for their constant lectures to make me study and to discipline me
FAY for studying with me every Sunday ever since Secondary 3. We even visited each others' house to study. I feel encouraged to study whenever we're studying together, although I seem like the more discipline one. for offering to be a phone call or sms away, even though I told her that I am stubborn and annoying and refuse to do so
Hui Ying for influencing her happiness to me and encouraging me to study hard and go HCI with her :X
Joey for always smiling sweetly, haha giving silent encouragements
Samantha for answering my calls for Chemistry help which last more than an hour(s) and even past midnight. always being a listening ear and influencing her selflessness to me and also encouraging to keep going and giving me tips whenever necessary. going for VJ open house with me. for coming online, just for me, in the evening although she was still out at town then. for checking on me even though I told her outrightly that I'd give her the exact same answer every time she asked.
Pamela for assuring me and cheering me on
Pris Chan for checking on me quite regularly and offering help almost 24/7. She taught me how to use the trigo hexagon!!! Cheering me on, making sure that I wasn't stressing myself.
Joanne Ting for being my pillar and standing by me
Tunnyuan for checking on me after my Prelims and offering help
Siti Nur H. for checking on me after my Prelims and encouraging me to go VJ and assuring me too
Deborah Guo for lending me her Chemistry Oxford 'O' Level flashcard notes and encouraging me online
Shauna for sending random encouragements which were always very timely
Jonathan for pressuring me to go VJ in a joking but impactful (to me) way
Anisa for the green letter and skittles
Cheryl for the green letter
My Secondary three juniors for always cheering me on
Deborah Yew who offered to be contactable almost 24/7. for checking on me after my dying papers
Kelly and Si Ying for company at the library
Kaibin for company at a few study times
Abigail, Amanda, Dionne and Xiuping for company at the library
Xinying for answering my calls even for the silliest questions
Joanne, Kelly and Rebecca for being great tuition buddies
My school teachers for being patient about my depressing results
My Chinese tutor for tolerating me even when I slept right in front of his nose during countless lessons... and he still has faith that I can pass HCL
Joanne Goh, Cheryl, Anisa for online encouragements
Dawn for the prayer on the 26th of Oct before service
Abigail, Lidia and Xiuping for company at the library
My HCL teacher for last minute help the day before the paper
Timothy for checking on me, occasionally, online and encouraging me to take more breaks! HAHA(: I was suppose to go to his farewell BBQ that other night! Sadly, I couldn't.

GOOD BYE!
O' LEVEL EXAMINATION OCT/NOV 2008 REFLECTIONS.
20th October 2008. Monday. 10:06PM.
CHEMISTRY PAPER 2 in the afternoon.
It was all right. Manageable. I think the study break really helped me. I was a lot more prepared for this paper compared to when I was sitting for it during Prelims! HAHA. I almost burst out laughing this morning when I redid my Prelim paper! LOL. The mistakes were stupid and it was obvious that I didn't study enough for my Prelims.
Thank God mann! For the many encouragements I've been receiving just for this exam, though it's still of little significance to me. HAHA. He was with me throughout the preparation and during the examination itself (: Regardless of the result, I WILL CHOOSE TO REJOICE!
21st October 2008. Tuesday. 8:41PM.
ENGLISH PAPER 1 and PAPER 2 in the afternoon.
Oh my the paper was tough and I really don't know what to say. I'm speechless. Whatever it is. God's in control. I'll look forward to tomorrow's Add Math. Lord, you take control.
22nd October 2008. Wednesday. 11:09PM.
ADDITIONAL MATHEMATICS PAPER 1 in the afternoon.
The paper was manageable I finished the paper in half the time given and had sufficient amount of time to check it once through. Tomorrow's GE and sad to say, I don't think I've put in enough effort on it during the past two weeks. However, it's never too late. Lord, be with me.
23rd October 2008. Thursday. 7:06PM.
COMBINE HUMANITIES PAPER 2, GEOGRAPHY ELECTIVE in the afternoon
I'll proudly say, it's the first time I actually attempted every single question and most of itis 80% complete. God was really with me. I was so scared and nervous before the paper, worried that I didn't study enough and wasn't able to give God my 100% or at least a 90%. Thankfully, it's all over. HAHA NO MORE GEOGRAPHY!!! Shout of joy! (: GOD IS GOOD.
24th October 2008. Friday. 7:39PM.
MATHEMATICS PAPER 1 in the morning
I was so scared that I'd be late for school today!!! Well, I was late, it didn't matter, so it's fine. Thank God for that. The paper was rather tricky and I've got to say, I've got tricked! :C Anyway, I took my time to do the paper. For the first time in the five days, I could actually stop to hear the fans, to realise how quiet the examination hall was! HAHA, and it was very conducive too! Conducive for sleeping. I yawned quite a couple of times! :X

ADDITIONAL MATHEMATICS PAPER 2 in the afternoon
Before the paper, me, Xinying and Rong Qi went to Joanne's house to study and rest and have lunch! (: I had a good hour's nap! HEHE. The paper was all right, I realised that I wasn't as stress as my usual Add Math exams. I was, yet again, taking my time. For one or two of the questions, I took a little more time to think and complete. Worried about the graph which I haven't attempted, I moved on. To my horror! THERE WAS NO GRAPH! OH MY. Many of us were questioning ourselves if we got the wrong paper or something!
Anyway, I thank God for being with me throughout the day. Sustaining me, keeping me awake to complete every question and check them at least once through. (: Even though, I realised that I made a few careless mistakes here and there, IT'S ALL RIGHT. Whatever the outcome, I'll give God a high five! Woots!

PHYSICS PAPER 2 in the afternoon.
Today's paper was a blast!!! NOT. I had the "Oh no!" thought again, which is an unpleasant sign. BLEAH, I was still thinking of using Physics for my L1R5 but the paper was tough. BLEAH. Terrible paper... Oh my. I've really got to work hard for my Paper 1 to pull up the marks. Forty upon forty, here I come! I must get full marks for MCQ. Go Grace GO GO GO!!! For now, I've got to concentrate on tomorrow's Math Paper 2 and Bio on FRIDAY. I must buck up on Bio, it might come useful (:
Shout out: praise Him, come on and praise Him!
30th October 2008. Thursday. 4:42PM.
MATHEMATICS PAPER 2 in the morning.
It was a sleepy morning. I kept yawning throughout the paper. Thank God I didn't fall asleep!!! I was so stoned this morning when I was at school. Bleah. Hmm... The paper was all right. I managed to solve the questions that stumped me (: My stomach didn't feel well half way during the paper, so I to the lavatory, expecting to turn into a terrorist and bomb the place. When I got there I there wasn't any bomb available. Oh well... but it was a good break. Sprinted to the lavatory and back (: Oh mann, I miss running!!!
Oh and there's A' Level Mother Tongue today. Hope they're all right. AHH I'VE GOT PASS MY HMT, OR I'D HAVE TO TAKE THAT EXAM NEXT YEAR D=
31st October 2008. Friday. 8:00PM.
BIOLOGY PAPER 2 in the afternoon.
I didn't put enough time and attention to the Secondary Three topics and screwed some questions up. BLEAH. The paper was all right, but it could've been better.
I wonder how I'd score. D: It seems like the papers this year have been manageable, except for one or two of papers. Other than that, it's been all right. The A1 grade is going to go up and I really hope I do get my desired Ones, or at least the Ones I deserve. RARR Oh well... Social Studies, I'm going to eat you up... or at least I'll try.
3rd November 2008. Monday. 9:26AM.
COMBINE HUMANITIES PAPER 1, SOCIAL STUDIES in the afternoon.
I've got Social Studies later on, I'm scared actually. I've never completed a SS paper before. Every time I take SS exam, I'm armed with the answering techniques. However, I failed to put on the Knowledge of the textbook and the wisdom to analyse the text D: Most of the time I've got plenty of time to do the paper, because I can't answer most of the questions and end up staring blankly, praying hard for God to help :/ I know I'm bad. SIGH. I must get a A1 for this exam. If I don't get a L1R5 of ten points, raw score, I've decided to go to continue education in a Polytechnic. Social Work, you might just be it! ALRIGHT, BACK TO SS.

7:31PM.
To my horror, when I flipped the question booklet to check for any errors or missing pages, I found out that there's NO GLOBALISATION!!! FYI: There are a total of five themes for SS. Out of the five, three will chosen to be tested for the Structured Essay Question and one of the three will be done by the candidate. So to be safe, one would have to study three themes. Yup. Sustaining Economic Development, otherwise known as Globalisation, was one of the easier themes. I studied that, half of Managing International Relations and two thirds of Managing Ethnic and Religous Diversity. HAHA, yes, I was guessing that Globalisation will come out... and it didn't!!! Thank God mannn!!! If I didn't think that it would come out, I wouldn't have studied that theme from Friday to Sunday!!! HAHAHAHA. If it weren't for that, I would've been studying Globalisation this morning, which I didn't!!! HAHA. I spent my morning completing my mind map for Managing International Relations (I&K,TNT). Woots and it came out for the Structured Essay Question! Thank God! Thank God! Although I wasn't that a hundred percent prepared, I still was prepared. (: It's the first time I actually did so much of the paper. Usually, I would have at least one whole question blank. This time, just like GE, I attempted every single question, though 2 were incomplete. YEAH MAN. God is good, all the time! All the time, God is good!
5th November 2008. Wednesday. 8:22PM.
HIGHER CHINESE LANGUAGE in the morning.
Ho Ho Ho! Once again, I FINISHED THE PAPER!!! HAHAHA thank you Lord! It's the second time this year that I finished the entire paper! Okay, at least for paper 2. Paper 1 was a little screwed. I spent too much time on the first section and ended up not planning enough for the second section and thus explaining the lack of content. However I've got to say this, IT WAS THE BEST GONG1HAN2 THAT I'VE EVER WRITTEN!!! I really hope that it'll push up my section 2 marks. Paper 2 was err manageable? HAHA as long as I attempt every question in the paper, I'm grateful. HAHA that's more than I can ask for (: but of course, I'm aiming for a B4 grade.
(others: I REALLY HOPE DANAE DOES WELL, SHE'S BEEN WORRIED ABOUT IT SINCE SHE WAS SECONDARY TWO)
12th November 2008. Wednesday. 1:33PM.
PHYSICS PAPER 1 ON MONDAY MORNING.
CHEMISTRY PAPER 1 THIS MORNING.
Woops, it seems that I got too carried away and forgot to blog about physics. The paper was all right. (haha I've been saying for countless times) It was about the same difficulty level as the paper I did the previous night, which is manageable. Well, I do hope for a distinction... I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Chem was, again, all right. Lol my English vocabulary is seriously limited! I was wondering... If every one, or a large percentage of the pupils taking Pure Chemistry, were to do well for Chem, will there be a situation where a candidate gets eighty marks yet get a B3 grade? Chemistry paper 2 was fairly easy, with a few tricky questions here and there. Papar 2 was a bit more difficult. However, the overall grade would consider all three papers, including SPA, which might result in many getting fairly good grades right? So what if a candidate does well, by getting eighty percent of the total marks, and yet get a B3 or even a B4, isn't that unfair? Hmm... Well, they're all in God's hands :D
13th November 2008. Thursday. 8:50PM.
BIOLOGY PAPER 1
BLEAH Paper 1 was kinda horrible, I guess I didn't prepare enough :/ many biology knowledge which I knew, but have forgotten came out! RARR. However, overall was all right, YES AGAIN. SIGH, I'll keep my fingers crossed, distinction, I'll hug you! WHAAATTTEVERRRR!!!! IT'S IN GOD'S HANDS. NO MORE O' LEVELS!!!! CELEBRATION!

YOU ARE AWESOME IN THIS PLACE
As I come into Your presence
Past the gates of praise
Into Your sanctuary
Til we're standing face to face
I look upon Your countenance
I see the glory of Your Holy face
I can only bow down and say...
You are awesome in this place, Mighty God
You are awesome in this place, Abba Father
You are worthy of all praise
To You our hands we raise
You are awesome in this place, Mighty God
----------
Psalm 104
1 Praise the LORD, O my soul.
O LORD my God, you are very great;
you are clothed with splendor and majesty.
2 He wraps himself in light as with a garment;
he stretches out the heavens like a tent
3 and lays the beams of his upper chambers on their waters.
He makes the clouds his chariot
and rides on the wings of the wind.
4 He makes winds his messengers, [a]
flames of fire his servants.
5 He set the earth on its foundations;
it can never be moved.
